It can be intimidating to begin a new exercise regimen! We’re glad you’ve chosen to invite us on your journey.

Here are some answers to our most commonly asked questions, to help you get started:

How do I know what weight to begin with?

It is recommended for everyone to begin working with the lightest (white) weight. If you are able to maintain the weight for ten to fifteen minutes of light activity, then move up to the next weight the following day. Continue this process until you reach a weight that you are unable to hold for ten to fifteen minutes. Use that weight until you are able to achieve ten to fifteen minutes before moving up.What should I do while using the weight?

You can do light activity, such as walking, taking a shower, doing dishes, etc. while using the weight. It can also be valuable to do Kegel exercises while using the weight. It’s recommended to alternate between light activity and Kegel exercises every other day.

What is a Kegel exercise?

A Kegel exercise is contracting the pelvic floor muscles. In order to perform a Kegel, imagine you are shutting off the flow of urine; contract the muscles and they rise up and into the body.

How do I know if I’m doing it right?

If the weight is staying in your body, you’re doing it right. Pelvic floor muscles must contract to maintain it in your body.

What if I’m able to maintain the dark purple weight right away, but am still leaking?

If you can hold the heaviest weight but still have symptoms, the weight may be sitting in your body because of friction due to vaginal dryness, as opposed to work of the muscles. To counteract that, use a little bit of water-based lubricant on the weight.

How long until I see results?

Many people begin to notice results after two weeks of using the weights. Generally, full continence can take six to eight weeks to achieve. All bodies are different and consistent use leads to progress, even if it takes time.

How often do I need to use the weights?

Using the weights daily will lead to the best results.
