I wrote this book as a supportive guide to many women’s health issues because I know so many women have questions and don’t know where to turn for advice. The book provides what I call a spoonful of sugar to help the medicine go down: light hearted stories and humor from my years of practice, and easy to follow instructions and exercises as a tool to empower women to break free from the issues that keep them from doing what they love.

I plan to share with my patients.

This is a well written and comprehensive book on pelvic floor dysfunction that I plan to share with my patients as another great tool to help facilitate healing during their physical therapy treatments with me, a pelvic floor PT.

Young women need to read this.

Restoring The Pelvic Floor is very informational. I learned a lot from this book that I did not know. Yes, I would hear over the years to do your Kegels but never really knowing for sure what that was. Of course I am sure a doctor would have told me but I was always to embarrassed to ask. With this book I could learn in my own home. It answered every question I had. I understand the importance of doing your Kegels now. I believe the younger you read this book the better, not children of course. I mean young women. You will understand what some of the dangers are when you are an older woman.- Sherri M.

Extremely informative content regarding the female pelvic floor! Appreciated the mental conversation insight that's critical to have. The flight or fight response is so real and the correlation made in the book made me view some of the "habits" we development is such a different way. I wasn't prepared for the discussion and greatly appreciated it. I have many friends that are frequent urinators and am eager to share a few gems with them along with a firm recommendation to get this book! Starting the kegel exercises early is so critical yet it seems this information is hidden from us. -RC
