Congratulations on taking a big step in your journey towards improving the strength of your pelvic floor. Here at Intimate Rose, we’re confident that our Kegel weights will help you achieve your  goals. Check out this video and our tips below, to optimize your experience.

The weights are arranged from lightest to heaviest, white to dark purple. It is recommended to begin with the lightest weight and to gradually work your way up, until you reach a weight that provides the correct level of challenge.

To begin, insert the weight into your vagina, as you would a tampon. You can do light household movements, such as walking, showering, or doing the dishes, with the weight inserted for ten to fifteen minutes. If you find that the lightest weight is too heavy and falls out after being inserted, don’t be discouraged! Modify the exercise by remaining in a sitting position, to provide additional support to your pelvic floor.

If you have no trouble leaving the lightest weight in for ten to fifteen minutes while moving around, then move to the next weight. Continue this process each day until you reach a weight that is too heavy for your body to hold while moving. Continue to exercise using this weight until you’re able to confidently maintain it while standing.

Our Kegel weights are designed to help strengthen the pelvic floor in two different ways. Using the weights during regular movements like showering or walking allows the muscles to increase their endurance. Performing Kegel exercises while using the weights helps to increase strength in moments of acute force, such as sneezing, laughing, or jumping on the trampoline.

Simply put, a Kegel is a pelvic floor muscle contraction. In order to perform a Kegel, imagine you are shutting off the flow of urine; contract the muscles and they rise up and into the body.

Intimate Rose’s Dr. Amanda Olson recommends alternating between regular movement and Kegel exercises every other day, to encourage muscular strengthening in both areas.

Like all other muscles, those in the pelvic floor have the ability to grow stronger with resistance. Regardless of your body’s ability when you begin working with Kegel weights, rest assured that consistent use will make a difference, over time.
